International Foundation Year
Malaysia SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) (Malaysia Certificate of Education): minimum grades A+ (Super Distinction) - B (High Credit) in 5 academic subjects including English and Maths and specific subject requirements.
UEC (Unified Examination Certificate) Senior Middle Level: minimum grade B6 in 6 academic subjects including minimum B6 / Credit in English and Maths and specific subject requirements.
STPM: CCCC or equivalent (Consult with UCD if in doubt).
Undergraduate
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): At least 8 distinct subjects with C8 or better (can include max 2 from SPM with min grade C)
Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)(Malaysia Higher School Certificate) - Six subjects between SPM/O-Level and STPM with at least C at STPM
English Language Requirements:
International Foundation Year(except for progression to BA Joint Honours and BA Humanities)
IELTS: 5.0 & min of 4.5 in each band on the Academic Version.
TOEFL: 60 in Internet based TOEFL (iBT) with a score of at least 17 in each section.
Undergraduate
IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version.
In 2022 and 2023 we will accept IELTS indicator. It may not be recognised after that depending on the outcome of a review.
TOEFL - A minimum score of 90 is required in the Internet based TOEFL (iBT) with no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section.

Cambridge Examinations - English language examinations administered by the University of Cambridge: 176+ on Cambridge English scale (with no less than 169 in each paper)
